Travis Briscoe is a truck driver who has been charged with murder after killing another truck driver at a truck stop in Kansas
According to police reports Travis Briscoe was involved in an argument with another trucker, Abdelmuttalib Mohammed, at a Loves Truck Stop in Kansas.
The argument would end with Travis Briscoe backing into a parking space running over Abdelmuttalib Mohammed in the process. Abdelmuttalib Mohammed would die from his injuries
Travis Briscoe would be arrested and has been charged with second degree murder
What the general public does not realize is that there are a ton more CDL drivers on the road than there are places to stop for the night. Which unfortunately leads to drivers parking on on/off ramps for the night or fighting for spots at available truck stops
In this particular incident Travis Briscoe and the victim Abdelmuttalib Mohammed were probably arguing over the last available spot at the truck stop that ended with the death of a trucker. Thankfully this is a very rare incident however I have personally seen truckers duke it out or yell threats at each other over a parking space
The Hours Of Service regulations only allows a driver to drive for eleven hours per day so when you are nearing the end of your clock and trying to find a place to shut down for the night it can be awfully stressful.

An Oklahoma truck driver has been charged with second-degree murder following the death of a 57-year-old man at a truck stop in north Wichita last week.
Travis Briscoe, 46, was charged in Sedgwick County court on Monday with unintentional but reckless second-degree murder.
Around 5:30 p.m. on August 13, police officers and first responders were called to the Love’s Travel Stop near 21st Street North and I-135. They arrived to find a man fatally injured in a parking stall.
Wichita police said Thursday that investigators determined that the victim, Abdelmuttalib Mohammed of Georgia, had been in an altercation with the suspect, whom he did not know.
“During the altercation, the suspect began backing into a parking stall with his semitractor-trailer, striking Mr. Mohammed,” WPD said.
Briscoe’s next court appearance is on September 2. He is being held in the Sedgwick County Jail on $250,000 bond.
